In São Paulo, the Tropic of Capricorn passes, as well as the main producing countries, South Africa and Australia, we have good conditions for the development of cultivation and research. Brazil is responsible for only 2% of the Global production in volume of macadamia nuts in shell, but the area has been growing in the last 10 years, São Paulo state accounts 50% of this amount; in 2018, production reached 59,000 tons. In 2019, 72,000 tons with an almost exclusive destination for exports.
